Manifesting Love to the Community

At Citizens Moving Forward (CMF), our ultimate goal is to become a true community asset,

an organization the community sees, values, and embraces as its own. Preparing and serving our annual Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner is one of the ways we strive to bring that vision to life. With no formal staff and a modest budget, CMF depends on the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of sponsors who help transform ideas into meaningful impact.

This year, for the second year in a row, we are thrilled to report another successful Pre-Thanksgiving meal. Thanks to the support of multiple sponsors and a committed team of volunteers, we prepared and served 223 meals. We were especially overjoyed by the fellowship shared with those who chose to sit down and enjoy their meal inside the Event Center, reminding us that community is built not just through service, but through togetherness.

While the menu included traditional favorites, this year’s meal had a special touch. Several non-traditional dishes—such as baked beans with brisket, coleslaw, mac & cheese

, and corn pudding—were lovingly provided by our caring and compassionate sponsors. Many guests complimented the exceptional flavor and even asked who prepared such delicious food. Though we are blessed with volunteers who can cook, in this case, the praise rightfully belongs to the professional chefs from our sponsoring partners.
