Cmf's Inaugural Golf Tournament
Updated: 5 days ago

On September 17, Citizens Moving Forward, Inc. (CMF) hosted its First Annual Golf Tournament at Blackwater Golf Club in Crestview, Florida. The event brought together golfers, sponsors, volunteers, community organizations, and supporters to raise funds and increase awareness of CMF's work in the community.
Citizens Moving Forward is a nonprofit

organization based in Milton, Florida, whose mission is to develop and support programs, curricula, and activities that enhance the socialization of seniors and the educational development of youth.
CMF currently offers several programs and activities serving seniors, including Golden Gatherings, a monthly luncheon designed to provide fellowship, information, and opportunities for seniors to remain socially connected; computer classes that help participants develop and strengthen technology skills; and a sewing group that provides fellowship while developing practical and creative skills.

In addition to its senior programs, CMF is developing a youth curriculum focused particularly on young males. The initiative is designed to help prepare young people to become productive, responsible, and engaged members of society as they transition from high school into adulthood. The curriculum will address areas such as character development, life skills, discipline, leadership, personal responsibility, and community engagement.
The inaugural golf tournament was organized to raise much-needed funds to support CMF's operational needs and sustain and expand these programs. The event also provided an opportunity for CMF to connect with individuals, businesses, churches, and other organizations while sharing more about the organization's mission and its commitment to serving the community.
A Special Thank You to Our Sponsors and Supporters
The success of CMF's first golf tournament would not have been possible without the generosity and support of our sponsors, the staff of Blackwater Golf Club, and the many volunteers who gave their time and talents.

We extend a special thank-you to the Blackwater Golf Club staff, whose professionalism, cooperation, and willingness to work with us helped make the tournament a positive experience for everyone involved. Their assistance was instrumental in helping CMF conduct its first golf tournament and provided a

strong foundation for future events.
We are equally grateful to our many volunteers. From planning and organizing to registration, sponsorship coordination, course activities, and event-day operations, volunteers played an essential role in making the tournament possible. Their commitment demonstrated once again what can be accomplished when members of a community come together in support of a common purpose.
While this was CMF's first golf tournament, it was much more than a fundraising event. It was an opportunity to build relationships, introduce more people to the work of Citizens Moving Forward, and strengthen the network of individuals and organizations committed to making a positive difference in the lives of seniors and youth.
To our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, Blackwater Golf Club, churches, businesses, and everyone who contributed in any way to this event, Citizens Moving Forward sincerely thanks you.
